3-Minute Brass Trio Original Composition

When I wrote this composition I was thinking that this melody I made was the first time of being a 3-minute long. When I was finishing this, it was a hard work because it got me too much focus. Well I guess this is the last song I made for the Noteflight site but it was a great site for making songs.

1-Minute Melody Revision 3

I featured a french horn part with a better quality. I only made changes with French horn to make like an orchestra. I made this because I would say this melody must have more instruments to make a good soundtrack instead of just a small melody.

1-Minute Melody Revision 2

I changed more in drum patterns like going in tempo. On each line I edit parts of the notes into a fast cymbals . I changed a little with the bass line at the end, which I made half note with tie and slur. I did this changes because going in slow motion is like its not making sense so I revised this in good way.

1-Min Melody Revision 1

I've looked and listen to their melody and some of them sounds good. Otherwise, each of melody looks like smaller than 1-minute and maybe they should make a little bit longer. Even the ending doesn't sound nice; it's like is still going, they should end with cymbals. The drum patterns have some part in slow motion and fast motion repeated. I've looked that their titles should make a little more specific for a better melody.

Adding Harmony, Bass Line and Drum Set Pattern

I chose these chords because I really want to use some part of the notes in tempo. I used the bass line to make it sound more instead of one instrument. For the drum pattern, I created them in repetition to have a nice rhythm and also for the ending, I finished with Cymbals in whole notes. That makes a better ending melody.

Here's the video for this melody

1 minute Melody in G Major

I created this melody in some repetition part. I am not that creative with rhymes in a melody. For me creating random melody is easy for me to go on fast. I chose 110 for my tempo because I'm really used for the short ones and taking the long one makes crappy. The only lesson I'm gonna teach to someone is to create random rhymes that it will make easy.

Creating a Bass Line with Drums

When I first created the drum pattern, I just made my own that sound like alternative on mind. With the electric bass and drums sounds awesome like in a rock band. While I listening my whole melody, I like the way it came out in tempo.

Creating a Bass Line

I chose this bass instrument because it sounds much better for this. When it says electric, it means to me that the bass sounds much stronger that can make my melody sound good. I chose this rhythm for my bass line so it can have a better tune with other instruments.

Harmonizing 16 bars in Bb Major

I have harmonized the song called Reigns of Criticism. Choosing your chords between major and minor is a hard thing to do because you need to know which notes start off. Lets say you pick C, you will be able to use C minor, F major, and G major. You have to use them because they have C in it. Then plug it in and then listen which one sounds better. Just take your time on it and it will make it sound good.

You can listen to my song here.

16 bar Melody Bb

I used the Bb major because it is part of the assignment that I must do. The hardest part is to put flats on a music notes that must belong from Bb clef. I enjoyed making some beamed eighth and sixteenth notes. I would advice anyone to remember where to put the flats on the notes.

Harmonize the First 8-Bar Melody

A chord is a group of three or more notes sounding or sticking together. It is like three whole notes standing on the same spot. Chord progression organize the chords into groups; any of the tones that must be played at the same instant. I chose my chord progression of 3 whole notes staying on top at the same spot. It is not that hard to do this; you only need to move the whole note upward.

My First 8 bars

When I was composing "Wind Dawn" it inspired me about "fresh wind before sunrise". The hardest part of the composition is the difference between treble clef and bass clef notes. I enjoyed creating notes that sounds sweet in tones and not making it sloppy. I would to advise another person to understand differences of notes in treble clef because it's not the same in other clefs.
